About Us

Spanglish was set up by a group of Spanish and Irish friends based in Dublin, with the assistance of a small grant from the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Enterprise Board

Spanglish is for anyone with an interest in the Spanish language and cultures, as well as for Spanish speakers who simply want to improve their English skills. Spanglish is a resource for you to re-inforce and improve your language skills.

Spanglish helps you to improve your language skills by providing on-line learning resources such as podcasts of native speakers, recipes, and much more learning material in Spanish and English. Spanglish also helps you to build relationships and meet people to practice with, whether you are new to a town, just visiting or simply just want to meet new people at home. Search our members’ database, to find new friends and meet like-minded people, and of course to practice your language skills. Or if you prefer, find a buddy to help you practice your written skills, and possibly learn about a new country.

We have four key objectives;

• Practice – Spanglish members can easily communicate with each other, through our on-line messaging system. This facility helps you improve your written skills.

• Learn – our Spanglish learning section is updated constantly with Podcasts for you to listen to the language of your choice, as well as with tips and links to good learning material.

• Meet – provide a fun and safe environment for you to make friends with other Spanglish members. Search our members database to find other members near you, or from a Country you are interested in learning more about.

• Speak – We host regular events all aimed at providing a fun and relaxed way for you to meet other members and to practice your language skills. Or if you live outside Ireland, simply arrange to meet up with other members in your area.
